Members of the Tucson Electric Vehicle Association bring their cars to a variety of public events and gatherings throughout the year. In addition to our monthly scheduled  indoor meetings, we take advantage of the fabulous weather in southern Arizona throughout the fall, winter and spring. Below are a number of great opportunities to see electric vehicles up close and talk to the owners. Come out and say hello!

The objectives of the Awareness Event are:

  • To provide the public with information and answer questions about electric vehicle purchase and ownership
  • To inform the public about the advantages of electric vehicles over internal combustion engine vehicles
  • To inform the public about “Charging at Home” and “Charging on the Road” and the current state of charging infrastructure
  • To showcase a variety of electric vehicles giving the public the opportunity to sit inside and view the instrumentation, view the cargo space, and assess the comfort
  • To give the public the opportunity to take a ride in an electric vehicle

Volunteers from the Tucson Electric Vehicle Association and the Southern Arizona Tesla Club will showcase their personal vehicles. There will not be any car dealers at the event. To date we have 2 Tesla Model S, 2 Tesla Model 3, 1 Tesla Model X, and 3 Nissan Leafs to showcase. We welcome all EV owners to the event. We prefer to put you on a list but it is not necessary to tell us if you are coming. If you wish to contact me:
